Reliving the dream of Encarnación Ipiña

The beginning:

Mr. José Encarnación Ipiña had a very active participation in the business and political life of the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

One of his most recognized projects would be the emblematic Ipiña. His initial idea was to create something very similar to Rue de Rivoli street located in Paris, France, where he had lived for three years during his studies at the well-known Sorbonne University.

The Ipiña consists of two quarry facades and the rear that would eventually house the Ford Motor Co. workshops.

Today, with this project, the interior of The Ipiña is brought to life once more.

Restoration

Over the years The Ipiña has been used for various purposes, being a great location for different businesses and offices.

With this project, The Ipiña will adapt to modern needs, respecting and maintaining its current appearance and structure, as well as Encarnación Ipiña’s idea of having a building full of life holding shops, restaurants, accommodations, and services to all its visitors.
